I learned many things about the renaissance and what they had in there time. I found out that they never had Halloween in the 1500’s. I also found out that they had toilets. I had to write reports about many different subjects one about the astrology in the renaissance and another on a way to escape from Florence. I had to read articles off the the internet and find maps to do the essays. I also had to search the internet for facts about the renaissance for my essays. I had to search for the past information and the present information. I found that astrology was made by a tribe before the time of the renaissance. I also found out that the tribe had made the stars look like there gods.

Miguel de Cervantes was a man that lived during the renacance period that made many books. One of his best books was called Don Quixote. There were two different parts of Don Quixote, Don Quixote the first part was made by Miguel de Cervantes and the second Don Quixote was finished after Miguel died. His fellow people had finished it after his death. When he was young he was on a boat to Spain that got captured by pirates. The pirates took them to Algiers and sold them as slaves. Miguel’s brother got his ransom paid by his father before Miguel did. A couple months later a church and his family donated money to getting him out of slavery.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 and died April 4, 1968. This man had accomplished so much for example he is how the black people became free, he was the man who had his house blown up by white people. Martin Luther King Jr. was famous because he was the leader of the Civil Rights Movement. Martin wasn’t only in the Civil Rights Movement but was a political activist, a Baptist minister, and was one of America’s greatest orators. Martin won awards such as the Noble peace prize in 1964. On April 4, 1968 Martin was assassinated and never forgotten.  To prove that he was never forgotten, he got an award in 1977 called The Presidential Freedom. In 1986 there was a holiday established and named Martin Luther King Day.  Martin did so much for the world now we need to.

Whats the issue?

In North Korea there are nuclear bombs that have been frozen so they could be transported to America so Norh Korea can’t use the bombs. The six nations are giving North Korea $25 million so North Korea will give them the bombs. China, Japan, Russia, the United States, South Korea and North Korea are trying to make an agreement. Bill Richardson in New Mexico met with the president of North Korea and discussed the nuclear bomb problem and tried to get to a solution. The North Koreans would like the bombs transfered to America on Saturday instead of Friday because it will take too long for them to freeze the bombs. The six nations didn’t wont this and wont it transfered on Friday because that was the day they agreed on.

Who is Affected?

The six nations are affected and the citizens of North Korea because the six nations are having to come into North Korea and invade there space. The six nations are effected because they don’t these missiles launched at their nation. They also don’t wont to get the Nuclear Bombs unable to blow up because if someone makes a tiny mistake they world will be dramatically effected.

What Would I Do If I Was In charge?

I would first send people that know how to disarm a bomb with North Korea’s permission. Once that was done I would give the $25 million. I would also try to help North Korea and if I could maybe make a peace treaty so they could have away to get food and water or any other supplies.

In the Middle Ages they had people that were in a higher class and others in the lower class. Religion played a big part in Middle Age society because there were friars that would walk from city to city and talk about god and tell the people stories about him. They also told them that if you pray to god he will help you.

In the Middle Age villages there would have a church in the center of it. All the people in the village would have to give a tenth of their earnings to the priest so he could buy the materials needed for the masses.

There were also a lot of people called pilgrims that would go on pilgrimages. On pilgrimages they would go to another shrine located outside of the village and pray there. They would go to the holy land where Jesus lived or go to one of the famous churches.

What have I learned in the past two class’s about the Middle Age?

I have learned about the plague and about how the vikings made the illness spread and people who trade. I have also learned a lot about how Europe was conquered and who killed who. I learned a lot about were the people would battle and try to conquered and why they did.

What did I learn about the Middle Age’s?

I learned about how the Vikings would just go upstream to cities and kill everyone in there way. I also learned what the countries were called back then. The languages were different also.

What is the Issue?

There was a truck full of explosives that crashed into a market on purpose that blew up and was one of the most deadly since the American army invaded. The bomb killed 130 people died. All the buildings surrounding the area.

Who was affected?

The whole world was affected because there will probably be wrights in other country’s by other people that have business in Iraq or have family that has died. The people that worked in that market or the sorounding buildings will be affected also because they will not have a place to sell there products. There will also be an affect that by at the market because now they will have to find another place to by supplies.

What would I do if I was incharge?

If I was in charge I would send a team of soldiers out to Iraq and try to find at least one of the bombers and interrogate him so we can the location were they are holding the bombs, so that the team of soldiers can get the bombs and discharge them.

What is the issue?

If we don’t do something about global warming we will die because the animals will die, and we will have not enough food. All the animals now have to adapt or die because of our mistake. You can help by not taking a car to a place were you can walk, or you can take public transportation to work or a mall.

Who is affected and how?

Animals are effected because now they need to adapt to a new temperature. Animals will go extinct if they don’t get the food or water they need. We will also die if we cant get the resources that we need also.

What would you do if you were directly involved?

If I was directly involved I would make the people turn their cars in for hydro cars so theres no pollution that comes out. I would tell all the other countries about my action and what they could also do.

Thats why if we don’t do something now we will die with the animals of the world.

Social Studies is not one of my favorite subjects, but I like some of the things that we did in it. I enjoyed studying about the gods and the way they lived. Our class had to do a project on one of the gods and I did it on Ares, god of war. I also liked that we got to have a mini olympics.

In socials we had to make this temple that was out of paper and some other things and I think ours is one of the only ones standing.
